At the Time of His Death Jackson Had Been Facing Financial Problems

neverland

It is ironical that at the time of his death Michael Jackson had been facing financial problems but following it his earnings have grown to millions.
His demise was followed by the outbreak of a war between his family with the executors of his real estate. Now another question has been added to the mayhem. After his death what is Jackson worth? Thanks to a film deal he has already raked in $100 million. Other contracts are expected to bring in another $100 million before this year draws to a close.

John Branca who has been a lawyer representing Jackson for a long time said, “Clearly that’s a new record for estates that likely will not be broken.” As per the instructions in the will Branca is the co-executor of the estate together with John McClain who is a family friend and music executive.
Already many deals have been clinched for various things like coin mementos, coffee table book worth $150 etc. But the problem of clearing up the snarl relating to the vast estates of Jackson, his assets as well as his debts is continuing as does the infighting between members of his family.
Collections of cash have been made from previous Jackson advisers. From one of them many million dollars have been raked in. The executors honed in on a collection of Jackson’s personal items that had nearly been auctioned off in April of this year to clear his debts. The items including artworks and stuff like white gloves that had been at Jackson’s Neverland Ranch had been kept in various places in Los Angeles.

Elvis Presley was the model for the business empire Jackson wanted to build up. Branca noted, “When you look at what the Presley estate has done, you see the opportunities here. I quite frankly think this will be a bigger estate.” In 2008 the estate of Presley came up with $55 million as revenue according to Billboard – a publication of the music industry.
Branca and McClain have been named as special administrators by a judge. By October the administrators might make them special administrators. They are crossing swords with the mother of Jackson – Katherine Jackson. The latter is beneficiary of 40% of the estates of the music star. In July she tried to take over control from the executors but the judge denied this.
